Odor removal question

cleaned a whole house in July. Customer calls and says her two large dogs have peed in one of the rooms - its 680 sf. - during a bad storm but does not know exactly where. I explained that cleaning and odor removal are two different chemistries and that knowing where the odor is coming from is helpful but she really doesnt know. I also explained that if we knew exactly where the source is, then I could soak the area (big dog, big area) but a room that large would be impractical.

The perfect scenario would be to heavily apply an odor counteractant that does not need to be rinsed since the carpet is clean and then use a CRB to brush it in and let it air dry without any residue

CLO2 has no residues. It is an oxidizer, but I don't think it would harm anything to heavily saturate an area and leave it. It works really well for odor removal. My local supplier has a CLO2 product called Vital Oxide that is very effective, but also a pretty safe dilution. I didn't know until the owner and I were chatting about it that there are seriously strong and possibly dangerous concentrations of CLO2. Know how to use it I suppose, or go with something stupid proof like Vital Oxide.

I typically use it for odor spot treatments. Like when cleaning and deodorizing a sofa with cat urine. After I clean and deodorize everything I smell check it, and any area that has lingering cat urine odor I saturate with CLO2 and leave it. Knocks the odor right out. And I don't need to do any more extraction.

The way I now approach urine odor and stains is a one step process. I use Saop Daddy products (PSor for the odor and Primetime Enzyme for the stains AND ALSO GENERAL CLEANING. The two are compatible and enhance each other when combined.
