I have a fiberglass tub surround that needs it's "caulking" removed and replaced. During the removal process it's nearly impossible to not slip with a razor a time or two. I'm going to try using one or the other as a protective barrier next to the caulk line.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the existing caulk, it's just one shade off from the rest of the install and Mr and Mrs 1st World just can't have that...

Can you imagine how upsetting a cut in the fiberglass would be?

Use a coated blade.

This is one we use on glass and fiberglass.cant remember the coating off hand but just keep the surface wet and use a a new blade. Pretty safe just don't hack away at it.

Carbon coated lol that didn't appear until I posted it here.

You can also use buffing compound but it's a little more labor intensive.
