Guy on YT using floor stripper on soiled ceramic tiles. It's sloshing up against the baseboards. Is that bad for the baseboards (MDF) in the long term if they are in decent condition?

Any excessive moisture will cause the MDF to swell and pull away from the wall. Stripper or high pH products just makes it worse.

He's also claiming you can 'neutralize' it with a spritzing of vinegar and it's fine. I'm guessing that's wrong...

just keep any cleaning solution away from mdf

cleaning solutions are better rinsed off not neutralised

Alistair, yer man there is an ass. Floor stripper will clean tile and grout, but it will also soften latex paint.
