Looking for some feedback from anyone who has used the Padman. I replaced my cimex with an orbot Vibe. I preferred the Cimex's ability to plow through any job with the Beige pads from Excellent supply.. Sure, the Vibe can run bonnet pads and is lighter, but that is not the setting in which I am working. Straight encapsulation cleaning. The Vibe tends to bog down on some commercial carpets and I do not like using their skid plate. I can go back to the Cimex, but I am always looking to improve machinery and quality of work. Besides the Padman can take larget pads thus allowing for faster cleaning with less passes or more overlapping for a better clean with same amount of passes.
Do not want a debate on how to clean carpets or discussions about bonnets vs pads etc.

I haven't used it, so that's not what you're asking. I don't understand how paying 8k
for an op when you can put gray pads on a cimex if needed and still have your vibe too, for a lot less and get quality results.

I would go back to the Cimex and if you think it would help do a quick post OP with the Vibe afterwards. It won’t take much longer and should help remove more soil when necessary

I have 3 cimex machines and I’m on my 3rd OP machine (Trinity Spyder) and still get better results with the Cimex. I do occasionally do a post op though so I can feel better about myself and “feel” like it’s cleaner. My first OP was one of Clarks CX-20 and my second the Orbot.

That’s my 2 cents but it’s worked for me for the last 25 years. To be fair I have never used the Padman though. All the best

Is it true that as far as results are concerned, a Cimex followed by post bonneting tough areas with a 175 or OP machine will yield the best results possible for vlm style cleaning? The weight and scrubbing power of a Cimex is unrivaled right?

I just bought a used Cimex for $1500 a few hours ago... I'd like to hear things that affirm my choice of machines and methods, if people would be so kind.

You made a good choice for commercial carpet. Do as I said above, and you're golden. I've. posted the chemicals I use and Mike added to the lists, but I hadn't used Mark's so I didn't mention. As I said then, I'm sure they're #Blue! IYKYK Heck, we used Matrix
this summer the kid threw in with my Cimex, and it did great.

The wise move for this point in your business..
Especially if you can follow yourself with those absorbent pads under a 175

So what are you going to do about your company image?

Thanks Mike. You know me, I'll be lugging the Cimex and 175 together wherever I am encapsulating. Hopefully I use it more and more often.

I don't know what I'll do about my company image. For now business keeps growing, and at least our name and image is quite distinctive and easy to find. I suppose when I finally pay for someone to completely redo my website I will consider improving our logo and colors at the same time. The name might stick though. While it doesn't immediately communicate trust or quality, it is very distinctive and that's a good thing, and it already has a good reputation.
