I adjusted the spray bar to where it is now hitting right behind the glide. It was spraying way further back behind the glide, impacting the carpet at bad angle and with more force I imagine. Now that I adjusted it I can barely see the streaks on my wet pass and then they quickly and easily disappear on my dry passes before I even groom.

Thanks for the lesson guys. Makes sense, now I know something else to watch for. I don't think I ever adjusted that spray bar before. Maybe it just slowly moved over time, not sure..

As a reminder when I sold it to you I told you had to move it up a quarter inch so that the the fan spray would extend all the way to the edge of the Glide..

Did that happen today?

Interesting, I don't remember that, but makes sense. Yes it did happen today. I'm an amateur and an idiot. Thanks Mike.

Interesting I only have seen the streaking phenomenon once in a while, and more so recently. I'll pay much closer attention in the future. Jets, angles, distance, gpm, all of it means so much more than I thought!

Now that you're consumed with jet placement, try and observe a change in sheer angle from that 1/4" lift.

I can't imagine it making any difference.

That wand is poorly designed in that regard, and "my" lift element isn't going to effect that.

But it will keep you from leaving pre-spray and soil and a half inch along the baseboards from now on...

The Chosen is MUCH better designed in regards to sheer angle ...

Honestly Bryce, IMHO, that wand design sucks, no pun intended. I know you don't want to hear this, but I'd ditch it first chance and quit
worrying about all that. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Single jet wands leave a lot of carpets looking better. The jets far enough away to not cause distortion or overwet.

I might start using mine more often now lol. My cheapy 2 jet is just so much easier to use and go faster with.

As long as you don't say mean things about my truckmount then we're good Kenny.

What is it about it that sucks? If you dont mind, please give a 20 second pitch of why it is not worth the metal it is made of. Get technical. Go.

My Teflon Glide fixes 80% of what's wrong with it..
Lockdown, chatter, not cleaning to the edge

Not being a S bend is probably 10%
The other 10% would be the lack of velocity to the overly large vacuum chamber that supposedly has "laminar flow" working for it but to me if that thing doesn't whistle that tells you something...

I have mine set up with a Slot Glide and 6 to flow for bigger and dirtier situations than my Hole Chosen is set up for...
I told you a video of the Simple would speak for itself. Wide enough for commercial jobs. perfect fit on the glide. Excellent sheer on interface. Solid manifold that does not flex like the Evolution plastic head. Easy enough to use one handed. Less fatigue.
Chosen and Simple are the perfect 2 wands for any setup.

Mine drags. I don't even like the trigger, at all. It's too loose, before it dispenses solution. It's floppy. Overall, it's just a gimmick wand. I'm sorry.

I know it's the glide, but I don't want to change glides since it's not an S and the trigger is flimsy. It's seems cheap. That's why I called it a knockoff.

Nothing special. My AW29 stock type wand with a slot glide. Zipper for large areas. It don't have to be complicated for me🤷🏼‍♂️ I'd just as soon use that Cimex as a zipper 🤷🏼‍♂️
So how much should I axe for a nice AW29 with that brand new hole glide.... you gave me.......I COULD throw in an unworn green glide Tee.....

I did, for a regular scrub wand i used a wall mount bicycle rack and a prochem 1½" wand clip. For my gekko wand i used a home depot garage tool hanger with½of a hydramaster wand holder assembly to hold it and a 1½" rubber tool clamp to hold it in place. For my 15" spinner i used the other half of the hydramaster wand holder assembly and another rubber tool clamp to hold it up and a 8"×8" sticktape foam for protection for brushes ,rakes mops etc a used spring clamps on one end and pipe straps on the other In 3 years only 1 carpet rake has fallen ( on a washboard dirt road). Everything is secure, organized,no rattling around and frees up alot of floor space.when customers come out to see this custom Frankenstein thing (and they do, its encouraged) i show them not a pos setting in there drivway leaking, instead a well organized clean system that reflects pride of ownership and quality workmanship. And yes at least ½ the people i work for has had the "Frankenstein experience " and i regularly get calls from new clients saying that they heard from another customer that i have some special equipment i bring to clean .... and the show starts again. Everything in your van should have and be in its place. This is a lesson i took from the military "gear adrift will sink ships"
