I buy a fare share of gov auctions stuff.. The bid is at $875. with reserve not yet made, and 6 watchers..
Don't forget to factor in taxes if that site charges a buyers premium and taxes.. Sometimes the deals aren't worth it after the fact..

I can't think of a situation where I would recommend buying an overly complicated, obsolete, overkill unit such as that thing..

As a former owner of one. I can agree with that. But It was a great machine when It worked. Good back up for the V. I sorta miss those days.
Am I slower now because of age or my machine? I used to clean up to 8 small appointments- 5 typical a day. now 3 max.
Takes 5 or more strokes to clean a carpet vs 3 strokes max.
I don't miss the blower noise.
